What we collect

The contact form collects your name, email address, and message. Project type and budget are optional. If you leave project type blank, we store it as “Not sure yet”.

Sign in and create account collect the email address and password you enter. Supabase Auth keeps the password as a sign-in credential. It is not saved in the enquiry records or in your profile. If you choose Continue with Google, Google confirms your identity. We receive the email address Google shares and, when Google shares one, your name. We store a profile with your email address and a display name. You can change the display name on your account page. A name from Google is used as the starting display name.

Why we use it

We use the contact form so we can read your enquiry and reply. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Where a message is not about possible work, the basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us (Article 6(1)(f)).

We use account details to create the account you asked for, sign you in, keep you signed in, and show your account page. The lawful basis is providing that account (Article 6(1)(b)).

We do not sell this information or use it for advertising. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce a legal effect or a similarly significant effect.

Who processes it

We decide why this information is used. The site sends it to these services:

  • Supabase, through Lovable Cloud. An enquiry is saved in the Supabase database: name, email, message, project type, budget, and the time it was sent. Accounts use Supabase Auth. The profile (email and display name) is stored in the same Supabase database. Lovable Cloud provides that backend for this site.
  • Web3Forms (api.web3forms.com). Submitting the contact form also sends your name, email, message, project type, and budget from the browser to Web3Forms, which emails the enquiry to us.
  • Google, only if you choose Continue with Google. That button uses Lovable’s cloud auth library to start Google sign-in. Google checks your identity, and the site then stores the session with Supabase. Email and password sign-in goes directly to Supabase Auth. Contact-form enquiries are not sent to Google.

Pages load the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser contacts Google for those files, which can include your IP address. That request is separate from the contact form and from accounts.

Supabase (through Lovable Cloud), Web3Forms, and Google may process this information outside the United Kingdom.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for 24 months from the day you send it, then delete it, unless we still need it for a contract with you, a dispute, or a legal duty. The site does not delete those rows on a timer. We delete them ourselves to meet that period.

We keep account information for as long as the account exists. Deleting the sign-in user also deletes the profile. The account page has no delete button. Email jestrlabs@gmail.com and we will delete the account.

The sign-in session stored in your browser stays until you sign out or clear site data for jestrlabs.xyz. Web3Forms delivers the enquiry email. This site does not set how long Web3Forms keeps its own logs.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold your information and give you a copy
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • restrict how we use it
  • provide a portable copy of the information you gave us, where the basis is a contract and the processing is automated
  • stop processing based on legitimate interests, including answering a message that is not about possible work

Email jestrlabs@gmail.com. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity. The contact form and the account do not rely on consent. You can still ask us to delete the information, and you can stop using the account.

Complaints

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. The ICO helpline is 0303 123 1113. Contact us first if something looks wrong and we will try to put it right.

Cookies and local storage

The published site does not set cookies. It does not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

After you sign in, Supabase Auth stores the session in local storage in your browser so you stay signed in. That entry holds the session tokens and the account identifiers needed for the session. Signing out removes it. On jestrlabs.xyz this uses the browser’s local storage, not a cookie.
